m_kimmel, I too like to receive and share GIF’s. There can be an array of issues that cause the GIF to come through as a JPEG file. One of the most common reasons the GIF may be receive as a JPEG is the file size of the GIF. If the GIF file size is too large it may just come through as the last frame of the GIF.
Have you tried any other messaging apps to see if you run in to the same issue with receiving GIF’s. When you send out a GIF does it send as a JPEG or does the receiver receive it as a GIF file? Have you been able to receive GIF’s in the past with animation? In regards to you other image concerns in the messages, to clarify, are you stating that when some one sends through multiple messages at once you have to open then each individually?
